“I take the time to see from the patient perspective, to truly understand his or her experience. This helps me personalize medication education and help patients to take an active role in their care.”
Denise Bentley, PharmD, BCPS, likes the challenge of working through the specific medication needs of patients with kidney disease. She understands that better patient care comes from active listening and learning from patients to help overcome challenges. Denise is dedicated to patient care because of her own experience with her father’s multiple chronic illnesses. Through that experience, she learned the importance of patient support and personalized care plans.
Denise joined the FreseniusRx team in 2017 and has been working as a pharmacist since 2015. She earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences at SUNY University at Buffalo, New York and a doctor of pharmacy at Belmont University College of Pharmacy in Nashville, Tennessee. Denise is also a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and has a certification in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support through the American Heart Association.
In her free-time, Denise enjoys hiking, spending time with friends, and attending the many concerts, shows, and events that Nashville has to offer.
