As senior director of strategic initiatives for FreseniusRx, Paul Acker plans, directs, and coordinates various companywide projects.
In his role, Acker is responsible for analyzing the deliverables for each project and coordinating staff and resources to bring them to fruition. In addition, he manages the company’s vendor contracts to dispense medications to patients accurately and efficiently. He also oversees much of the facilities operations for FreseniusRx locations in Tennessee and Florida. Most recently, he managed the pharmacy’s move to a newly-renovated headquarters in Franklin, TN.
Throughout his career, he has developed deep expertise in managing business operations, building effective teams, motivating employees and developing strong organizational culture.
Prior to joining FreseniusRx, Acker spent nearly 15 years with Express Scripts, Inc., serving a variety of roles including senior director of provider relations and network services, senior director of project management, director of prior authorization and leader of call center operations. He also directed operations for a 170-agent call center at ValueRx.
Acker is an active volunteer for the St. Louis Effort for AIDS and the St. Louis Food Outreach, and serves on the board for the Gateway Men’s Chorus. Additionally, he serves on the board of directors for Doorways, a non-profit that provides housing and health services for those impacted by AIDS and HIV.
Acker earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in management and finance from Southern Arkansas University. He also earned his project management certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
