As the vice president of pharmacy operations and clinical services at FreseniusRx, Billy Kim provides the patient-centric leadership and strategic planning needed to guide the company’s overall operations in order to improve health outcomes. In this role, he is responsible for improving infrastructure to provide for profitable growth, developing financial and operational goals and collaborating to streamline workflow and meet patient and clinic needs. He also oversees the operations of FreseniusRx’s customer support call center, pharmacy and vendor accounts.

Kim earned a doctor of pharmacy degree from St. John’s University in New York. As a registered pharmacist, he began his career practicing in both retail and hospital pharmacy environments before transitioning fully to hospital practice at Northwell Health, formerly North Shore LIJ Health System, where he worked as a clinical pharmacist. In this role, he worked in the adult, pediatric and neonatal critical care units, step down units and general floors.

Prior to coming to FreseniusRx, Kim spent 15 years working for BioScrip Inc. as both the director of pharmacy and the vice president of operations. Under his leadership, the corporation—a leading national provider specialty mail order and intravenous therapies—implemented a clinical program emphasizing early intervention, patient adherence to therapy and prevention of complications.
